The National @ Wellmont

Last National show of the year; majorly depressing.  The concert was held at the Wellmont Theater in Montclair, NJ.  The last time I had travelled for a concert was to see The Smashing Pumpkins in SF and Morrissey in Philly.  Venturing to New Jersy on a friday nite was not ideal, but for the National, all the negative stigma just goes away hahahah!  The crowd felt a bit "off" compared to the shows in NYC.  There's just a different vibe as if the crowd was more restrained.  The sound quality was mediocre and the setup reminded me of a mish-mash of nokia/wamu and a dilapidated carnegie.  I thought the set-list was shorter than usual.
