US Open 8/29 - Shit Happens
Yes Shit Happens.
We had day and night sessions ruined because of the rain. We missed out on marquee matches featuring: Hewitt, Blake, Hingis, Pierce, Ivanovic, Safin and Sharapova. (shit number #1)
Most of our days were spent waiting on the corridors of Arthur Ashe and Louis Armstrong stadiums. Either it was ordering beers and ben & jerry's or just talking to random fans expressing our disappointment and exciting potential matchups, we found out ways to kill time from 11am through 9:30pm.
Well if there's any redemption, we will be getting our tickets exchanged for the same session in 2007. Although we did see a bit of the Hewitt match (5-5 first set), they did not finish the match nor did the play lasted 90 minutes. Hence the inclement weather policy applies.
Furthermore, i accidentally banged my trusty camera onto the railing while trying to snap a pic of my IDOL, JOHNNY MAC in quick haste, causing the LCD window to crack. (Shit number #2) This will be my second camera for the second consecutive year. I really see a trend as the Canon Powershots are a total jinx or I'm just a total klutz.....Eff me!
On hindsight, I think there's a balance in life; such as the highest of the highs and lowest of the lows. For example, I able to see five matches on Monday when we were supposed to experience intermittent downpours. Secondly, I snapped over 280 awesome pics at the open and got to chat with Grojean, Sugiyama, Miryni, Srichaphan and Safin. You can't possibly have everything go your way.
Aloha and Cheers,
MOZ
