Snow Patrol @ The Roseland

Friday nite, I hung out with my friends to catch Snow Patrol live at the Roseland. The opening acts were: Augustana and Martha Wainwright; whom by the way made a guest appearance on one of my favorite songs (Set the Fire on the Third Bar) in the album (Eyes Open) . The song was very reminiscent of the Dears' "22: Death of a Romance" and Morrissey's rare B-Side "Interlude" with Siouxsie.

Then we headed to an afterparty at Stitch on 37th and 8. Luckily, we got to meet and chat with Gary on the private party upstairs. Well I have to thank Cate for working her magic!! He was actually quite soft-spoken and humble.

Setlist in no particular order:

-Spitting Games
-WOW
-Chocolate
-Beginning To Get To Me
-Headlights
-Grazed Knees
-Chasing Cars
-Shut Your Eyes
-How To Be Dead
-Somewhere A Clock Is Ticking
-Make This Go On Forever
-Set the Fire on the Third Bar
-Run
-You're All I Have
Encore:
- Open Your Eyes
- Tiny Little Fractures

Although cameras are not allowed, we smuggled it by placing the battery in my pocket while placing the camera (without the battery) into her bag. It was pretty hilarious to hear her explaining security that she left the battery at home, rendering the camera useless.

During the concert, we were literally 10-12 feet from the main stage as we stealthily weaved through the crowd. By the way, booze was available under valid ID, however, since this concert was 18 and over, we told ourselves that we will be literally screwed to hear screaming kids in front of us. Luckily, there weren't many of them. Anyway, the concert ROCKED! Below are some of the pics.

Aloha and Cheers,
