2012 Scotland 10K - 37:57 / 6:08

Net Time: 37:57 (PR)
Pace: 6:08
Rank: 172/7919
Age Grade: 71.31%

Not sure if racing a 10K was the smartest thing to do a week before the Boston marathon. However my main motive to race this was to gain some confidence before the big day. In terms of race execution, I think I performed better than I expected. Although there was a minor hiccup on the gradual and dreaded mile 4 uphill, I held it together on the next two miles and ran my first sub 38 minute 10K. All the credit should be given to my teammates throughout every mile...countless orange support!

One thing for sure is that I need to keep the next few days very light in terms of mileage, ball rolling for my right PF and giving my right hamstring a rest/foam roll (it tightened up a bit between miles 3-4).

Boston in 8 days...YIKES!

Splits:
