2012 NYC Half - 1:23:25 / 6:23

Chip Time: 1:23:25
Pace: 6:23
Rank: 336/15331
Age Grade: 71.01%

Solid effort, but not a PR. I went out a bit too hard on the first 8 miles and couldn't maintain the pace. After mile 10, it was all 6:30s. Perhaps if I had held back to 6:25s on the first half, the outcome would be different. The last mile through the tunnel was somewhat of a surprise and there's certainly some careful footing on the last 800 meters due to uneven ground. Regardless, it was my 3rd fastest half marathon effort and hopefully would use to this race to prepare for Boston in a few weeks. Post race @ Becketts!

Boston #2184!

Sometimes it's so hard to hold back in the beginning.

Still a great race and nice splits! Looks like a fun group of people to run with!
