Run As One 4M - 24:24 / 6:06

Net Time: 24:24 (PR)
Pace: 6:06
Rank: 87/6712
Age Grade: 69.2%

Ecstatic with this race result as this will be my last race before Boston. Hopefully this would give me more confidence in toeing the starting line @ Hopkinton. 8th PR of the year (counting repeats) and would like to continue riding this momentum. For the first time, I've done a 2 mile warm-up before a race. This is new territory for me since I'm always afraid of losing reserves and maybe I was wrong and over-cautious all along.

I felt really good out there as I clocked the first mile at 6:08. This rarely happens because I never feel great on the first mile and a half. When I hit 5:57 on the second mile I have to admit that I was apprehensive and questioning myself if I could hold onto the pace. Once I clocked 6:21-ish on the 3rd mile with the help of some hill (dag gummit!), I realized I still had some reserves in me to clock in another sub 6 mile at 5:56-5:57. Hence, for the first time, I was able to hit two sub 6s and achieved my highest age grade in a race. This was definitely a great race day for a great cause. Congrats to all out there.

Splits:
01: 6:08:07
02: 5:57:26
03: 6:21:50
04: 5:56:96

Ro's going away
Partied hard before the race on Sunday. There's really no reason not to, as our closest friend, Roisin is moving down to Charlotte. A night of fun started at Three of Cups and continued at Arlo and Esme. Looks like we'll be making a trip to OBX very soon-

Cheers,
Moz
