20: 7:14:86

Windy conditions; yet still raced the Eastern States 20 Miler in Kittery, Maine and ending in Hampton Beach, NH. The wind definitely took a toll on me as it was consistent throughout miles 1-13 and 17-20. Fortunately, we lucked out from the wind once heading inland. Overall, the windiest race I've ran in (though not as wet as the monsoon-like conditions in Hamptons of '08). I knew I lost quite a bit of steam at the end; maybe it really wasn't wise to race a 20 Miler a week after a marathon. Nevertheless, I nabbed a 3 minute best from last year and 6th PR of the year.

Congrats. I ran several miles of the course on leg 25 of Reach-the-Beach in 2006. It is beautiful, but that wind can be a killer.
