Hiatus - HK/Thailand

Hiatus! I'll be out of the country and stepping foot to HK/Thailand for a week and a half. Considering myself always as an American, going to a place in which I have no memories of and somehow was born there...is strange. Funny how my parents believed it was about time that I return to Hong Kong. My dad was very excited to hear the impending trip because he knows I have no recollection of HK(since coming to the states when I was 3-4) and thought it would be good to reconnect with my "roots". I'm still in disbelief that it has taken me over 25 years to consider a trip back. It'll be surreal, and possibly emotional. Phuck me for saying that!!

After several days in Hong Kong and Macau, we'll spend a few more in Bangkok and Phuket. This would be a much-needed vacation from all the racing done. Running regularly and racking up quality miles is dubious. I'll try my best to get some mileage in, but that's not a priority. However, this vacation is a good rest and recovery session for my body.

A week and a half after my HK/Thailand trip, I'll be running the Las Vegas Marathon. Again, no goal time since I doubt my body can handle another hard run. But, I'm definitely going to have fun and run depending on how my body feels. Till then.....holla!

Last call! If anyone wants cheap HK electronics, knock-offs or whatever shady merchandises, request and let it be known!

Cheers,
Moz

No worries Lindsay! I wish I was a trust fund baby. Nah! That would be boring! Even my pops asked me the same question!

I work in technology at the banking sector; (usually from 745/8am-630/7pm+). Hence I could only do my runs at night and never executed double-double runs.

I have several weeks of vacation a year, however try to position my vaca days around the long weekends. Racing is usually during the weekends and if i need to head out to another city (ie. Kansas City) for a race, I'll just use a half day vacation to fly out on a friday afternoon (or work longer hours during midweek to make up for the hours) and come back on sunday :) Hence, I have to carefully position my vaca days to make it work.

As for concerts and loads of drinking (thats a priority).....that's after work; probably why I always look like shyt and disheveled during the mornings!!! ;)

Yes it is true, I only need 5 hours of sleep (even with coffee!)

Feel free to ask more!

Enjoy your trip Ken, you are young so enjoy it now. I remember when I could survive on 4 hours of sleep and i didn't do half the stuff you do and I'm lucky if I can get pass 1 glass of wine. Thats what youth brings, energy,so have fun thats why every birthday I've had for the last 10 or so years I'm 29&half but sadly I think I may have to go 30 & a half next year :)
