From this result, I know I started too fast and ended up paying the consequences at the end. After mile 6, my legs were stuck in the same gear. Post-race there's plenty of woulda's shoulda's coulda's; but what's done is done and have to own up to my performance. Maybe if I held back a bit for the first 4-5 miles, my legs would have enough energy to push it to the next gear. I'm not really sure if the weather was a factor in the race, but compared to '08, I found myself trying to stay as hydrated as possible. Weather's always a moot point so there's really not much to say for that. However, a positive take away from this is out of my 21 or 22 half marathons, this was my fourth fastest. Hopefully this is a good leverage for the next 4 marathons in a few weeks or so. Hence despite falling off the radar in the last few miles, this is the best half marathon out there. I really can't wait for 2010. By the way, it was great seeing the sea of red and cheers from my team as well as the NYFers- Thanks!

Nice job, congratulations, I didn't run a race today a mere 4 miles and it was hell out there under the conditions you did extremely well
congrats on what looks like a strong half to me, especially considering the warm temps!
Congrats Mozz! Fantastic performance given the heat.
To come that close to your PR in these conditions shows you are in good shape...everyone felt the heat, even the elites!! You did great.
yeah nice work dude, you were pretty close to your PR too in that crappy weather. and trust me I know it was rough out there! I hear that dude in the orange shorts in your pic is super cool though
Great job and awesome pics!
