The National @ Bowery Ballroom

Freakin shyt.... I just turned into the National fan. This was the first time I've heard of them live. Just when I was planning to chill and rest-up from the memorial day weekend, baldy told me he got tix to see them at the Bowery Ballroom. Without any hesitation...I was like hellz yeah!!!!!

It was good (or bad) to kick off the memorial day weekend with a TRD/Flyers event at Dive Bar. After imbibing 72 ounces of Becks and then some, I was really wasted. Once I got into work on Friday, man...i totally regretted it! Hence no more crazy drinking on thursday nite. Pace yourself moz!

Friday- dinner at Barbuto on 12th and Washington before heading back to queens. Food was ok, but the razor clams was simply BS....13 bucks for 4?!?! You can get 10 razor clams for 10 bucks in Chinatown!

Saturday- she suggested on going to Robert Moses....so we did. Afterwards we headed up to Oliva on Allen and East Houston; which is a tapas joint and had a great rustic and rowdy vibe to it. After some grub, we made a brief pit stop at Winebar before meeting up with a running friend of mine @ Sin Sin

Sunday was a weird day. I actually struggled to run 12 miles in central park during the afternoon. After dinner at Markt, we decided to check out ARENA on 41st and Broadway. About 50 feet to the door, we noticed a bunch of chain smokers and yes it was an asian Party. We made a quick turnaround, hailed a cab and headed straight to Underbar. The next day we visited the 'rents in queens before I headed out to see the National....and I'm just glad to see my dad recovering well and BOWLING again.

For some odd reason, I've totally spaced out and forgotten about the French Open! I don't want to see a Nadal/Roger final!!!! Eh...if Roger wins the elusive grand slam...then so be it....but i rather see a journeyman or darkhorse out there making some deep impact at Roland Garros....Maybe Gasquet? Holla-

Aloha and Cheers,

Moz
