Random Pics

Damn, it's been awhile since I've blogged. For the most part of last week, I was at a company conference confined to the gates of Hyatt in Hauppauge. Quite honestly, the location was ok with me, however what wasn't fair was the fact that the people from Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, London, Glasgow, Mumbai, Frankfurt etc had to spend a week in Strong Island...an hour away from New York City. If I was based in the Tokyo office, I wouldn't be a happy camper after all the jet-lag and the long flight just to stay in the boonydocks of Long Island.

With the location fiasco set aside, it was actually better than expected. The food and activities improved as the week progressed and I was surprised with the diversity of our staff.

29-17.....most of all I think I enjoyed hester's TD during the initial kickoff a little too much as I spilled beer all over the place watching that play!!!!!! The 4th Qtr was a dud and what was up with the pre-game festivities?!?!? Also, damn those camera lenses! I thought my eyes were blurry! Congrats to the COLTS.

One more rant....I logged onto ticketmaster for THE KILLERS tickets for 4/28. The queue opened at 12pm and I wasn't able to get Floor Tickets. Hence, to you phuckers out there who happened to acquire those tickets, enjoy but at the same time you will be on my shit-list. Also, to those bastards who wouldn't reveal the Z-100 presale code (which by the way was "BONES")-----screw you. However, maybe I should've signed up for a $30 membership to gain access to the presale.

Thursday - EN Japanese Brasserie. We definitely like it more than Nobu and Zenkichi. Overall, the food tasted great but it was overpriced for the portion. Heck, we felt like we needed to get a burger in MickeyDs or the Spotted Pig!

Wednesday - The Spotted Pig again....Mandy Moore was outside and David Schwimmer was pimpin' it up with a group of B&Ters....

Also, below are the pics from Morrissey Exhibition by Ryan Mcginley on Greene/Grand. A pretty small exhibit, but I had to be there for the Mozzer!

Saturday - Hawaiian Tropics. Met up with a friend and was there for the third time. This time, it was a saturday, hence it wasn't as crowded as the happy hour days.

Thursday Nite @ HIRO. Went there with a bunch of hedge fund gurus. Thursday nites are awesome at HIRO if you are into Live music; yet La Bottega is upstairs although there is always a Matsuri for jap.

Saturday Nite @ Zanzibar, Marseilles and a random Irish Pub. Went out with the Sheikspeak crew and had a blast. Pictures were provided courtesy from my buddy Mike (aka kingpause)-

And of course some running news: My knee is getting better, but still need to get it checked up. I'm 50/50 on the Bronx Half; as Mog has spoken to me before, I think I am going to treat it as a training run. Of course that's what I always say! If I say I'm not going to run it, chances are that I will make a spur-of-a-moment decision, get out there and race it. However it is going to be COLD.....BRRRRRRRRR!

Engrish Pic of the day: ASSE Chocolate. Friends came back from a Japan Vaca and gave me some Asse...as in Asse Chocolate. Who the hell is dumb enough to name it....ASSE? I have to admit the chocolate was pretty good. My dog seemed to like it........ :)

I look retarded. No wonder you were making fun of my shirt. I'll have to rip the greenday song off you (wake me up when september ends). I don't have it.

Thanks for the "good luck" about Austin on my blog. With my shin splint I'll need it. I read through your blog and profile and would love to have it linked to the Running Blog Database on my web site. I think it would be very inspirational and motivating for many people. Here is the link if you want to do it: http://www.faithfulsoles.com/fsblogregister.htm
Thanks again.
