2007

Spent the new year's weekend at the Berkshires in Massachussetts for snowboarding. It's definitely a change from the city setting where you'll purchase 100-150 a pop to head to a club serving diluted drinks and cheap champagne for new years eve. I would prefer going somewhere out of the city to celebrate NYE and of course my bday- yeah I'm officially 27!

As far as snowboarding at the Berkshires, it is definitely better than the novice-long-island infested Hunter Mountain. Snowboarding was definitely a blast despite some bruising on my knees where I landed on hard ice on Sunday afternoon. I'm pretty serious in buying my own boarding equipment now.

About the Berkshires- that place was literally dead after 11pm. I remembered us driving to a local stop and shop and have the cashiers literally told us that they are not allowed to sell alcohol after 11pm. Thank god we still have a bunch of wine and hard liquor in the cooler. However, we'll just have to spend one nite without Newkies and guinnesses. One random note though.....we tuned into some radio station (i think it was 90.1) and they were constantly playing Jack Johnson....

Xmas gifts...my brother got me an I-dog. Yes it's really the thought that counts, but seriously, do I really need one? To me, the I-dog is horrible. You have to unscrew the leg to insert the battery and the speakers were horrendous. Why I would use the I-dog when I already have the bose ipod system?

My dad thought it was stupid of me to obliterate the box when I could've easily returned it to your local toys r' us or walmart. I guess Ebay will be my friend this week.

As for my 2007 running goals?

-Aim to run only 9-10 races this year
-Take it easy and Stay injury free!
-2007 NYC Marathon (Nov), 2007 Long Island Marathon (May)
-San Francisco Half Marathon (July)
-More weight training on legs

Neighborhood Watch: More condos....what else is new?

Drunken spot: Automat on St.Mark's. It is literally a huge vending machine with after-drinks comfort food. Chicken Nuggets at 3AM are always the best!

Happy New Year!

Aloha and Cheers,

Moz
