Duncan Sheik @ Ars Nova

Last nite I missed the Speed Workout Session because I had to attend a private event hosted by NYMF with performances by Duncan Sheik, David Poe as well as several castmembers from his play "Spring Awakening". The event was held in the swanky penthouse of Ars Nova on 54th and 10th, which btw was a helluva trek coming out of the Lexington stop on 51st!

The moment I walked into the "living room" I felt completely out of place with my jeans, t-shirt and sandals getup while the majority was in chi-chi attire. However, that feeling was temporary as I laid my eyes on a table full of cookies and YES A BAR!

Duncan sang most of the songs from his plays "Spring Awakening" and "The Nightingale" and wrapped up the set with "White Limousine" with David Poe. Quite frankly, play tunes are not my cup of tea, but at least I got my money's worth by downing 4 whites and a champagne as well as a load of sweets.

Next up:

10/7 - TOOL
10/25 - The Fray
12/2 - Goo Goo Dolls
12/8 - Dashboard Confessional

Aloha and Cheers,

Moz

Seems like a fun and intimate show.

How many times have you met Duncan now? Seems like it's happening more often. You still freak out when you meet him? You should be proud of me, it's my first post on your blog. Hope you're doing well man! Talk to you soon.
